Bringing confidence back home

The Home

For this homeowner, their house was already a place of calm and comfort. It was somewhere they wanted to feel secure, relaxed and able to enjoy everyday life. But one part of the property had begun to affect that feeling.

“For me, a home is somewhere I want to feel comfortable, secure and just enjoy life.”

Over time, the roof had started to look tired. While it was still doing its job, weathering and surface build-up were taking their toll. It wasn’t just about how it looked, it was about knowing the roof was properly cared for and protected for the long term.

“It was the one thing that felt just a bit off. It was going to make a massive difference to how we felt about the house.”

Finding LTI

The homeowner came across LTI almost by chance, but from the first interaction, the approach felt different. Being able to speak face to face, ask questions and understand the process clearly helped build confidence early on.

“Fortunately, I just came across LTI.”

That initial conversation allowed us to explain not only what we do, but how we do it and why each stage matters. For us, that transparency and clarity is key to building trust before any work begins.

The Process

Every roof refurbishment starts with understanding the condition of the roof and what it actually needs, not rushing straight to the finish.

Assessment and Planning

The roof was carefully inspected to assess its condition, surface build-up and overall suitability for refurbishment. This allowed us to plan the correct approach and set clear expectations from the outset.

Wash and Biocide Treatment

A controlled wash was carried out to remove dirt, moss and organic growth. This was followed by a biocide treatment designed to kill remaining growth and help prevent regrowth. This stage is essential in preparing the roof properly.

Preparation and Protection

Surrounding areas were protected and the roof was checked thoroughly before coating. Taking the time to prepare correctly ensures the coating can perform as intended.

Professional Coating Application

The coating was then applied in stages, including a heavier second coat to build durability, restore colour and provide long-term protection. Each stage was completed with care and attention to detail.

Result

Once completed in Charcoal, the difference was immediate. The roof looked refreshed, uniform and protected, but more importantly, it changed how the homeowner felt about their home.

“It’s certainly going to be beneficial from a longer-term point of view.”

The refurbishment didn’t just improve the appearance of the roof. It restored peace of mind, pride in the property and confidence that the home was properly protected.
